Character Name: Diana Rivera (nicknames: D, Ana)
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Species: Human
Coven/Pack/Nomad: N/A
Diet: People food.
Hair: Straight brown hair that reaches her middle back.
Eyes: Dark brown eyes.
Weight: 125 lbs
Height: 5'4"
Overall appearance: Diana has long straight hair that reaches her middle back. Her eyes are dark brown and she has an oblong shaped face. Diana's skin is lighter than anyone else in Forks. She has a slim body with a narrow waist and long legs.
She loves to wear vintage clothing found at those second hand stores. But her all time favorite outfit would be: a pair of jeans with a blouse and a light sweater (depending on the weather) along with her favorite VANS shoes.
Personality Strengths:
• Knowledge: Diana loves books. She loves to learn something new, so it isn't a surprise for her to have pretty good grades in school.
• Compassionate: Diana's very compassionate. When someone needs her help, regardless of how big or little it is, she's always there.
• Understanding: Some people aren't very understanding, but Diana's the type of person who can understand why a person does things or why something happened.
Personality Weaknesses:
• Smart Ass: Sometimes Diana's smart mouth gets the worst of her when she's angry or sad...or whenever she's not happy.
• Trusting in Others: Diana's too trusting. She can trust other people without really knowing them, which is a major disadvantage for her since she becomes vulnerable in any case.
• Beauty: Diana is beautiful...and she sees that as a weakness because guys tend to want to date her, or in this case...BED her just for her looks. She prefers for a guy to love her for her personality and not her beauty.
Overall Personality: Overall, Diana is a very compassionate, smart and understanding person. She is very happy knowing that she can use her intellectual mind in helping others as well as having the ability to understand a situation better than most people can.
She can trust almost anyone, which is, for the most part, dangerous. But she is a very trustworthy person. Her knowledgeable mind can get the worst of her at times. Being a smart aleck isn't exactly the way she would like to be classified as, but she tends to speak her mind when something bothers her...in a detailed way. Some might say her beauty is an added bonus...but she sees it more as a weakness since she prefers a guy to love her for who she is and not what she looks like.
Character History: Diana was born as Diana Rivera, daughter of Isaac and Joanna Rivera on April 14th, 1993. She was born in Newark, New Jersey and is an only child. As a child, Diana loved to read those pop-up books. As she gradually got older, reading and writing became somewhat an obsession. So it wasn't a surprise that she was always found with a new book in hand every other day, if not every day as well as a journal to write down her thoughts.
During her years in primary school, Diana received numerous awards for her academic achievements. Her life revolved around school, but up until she became a teenager where she began to realize that she couldn't waste her life away just in her books...so she decided to spice up her life a bit and hang out with friends, even though they were from the book club.
The decision to move wasn't hers. Her father was transferred from the home base company he worked for to the small one in Forks, WA. For Diana, her hometown was half away around the world. She was, in a way, devastated because back in Newark, New Jersey, the sun always bloomed in the blue sky. As opposed to Forks, WA., where the sun rarely came out. Even though she was sad about the move, she made a choice to make this the beginning of something new as well as see it as an opportunity to "explore" the world...even though it was just a small town.
On the first official day of being in Forks, Diana's mom got hired as a restaurant manager and waitress at "The Last Chance Cafe". Taking a look at her parents schedules, she came to terms that she was going to be alone several times a week, so she plans to apply for a job as a librarian or perhaps just a volunteer at "Forks Memorial Library" where Diana hoped she can communicate with individuals of all ages who want to escape the real world and enter the world of imagination. She's positive she's bound to get an after-school...something there.
What she looks forward to the most is applying her imagination and words on paper and because Forks, WA. seemed like a different world, it was an added bonus for her when it came to writing.
Power: none.
Anything else about your charrie we need to know?: She will eventually want to fall in love...with a human, vampire or werewolf...doesn't matter. =)
Roleplay Sample:
Tick...tock...tick...tock... The sound of the clock echoed through Barringer High School in Newark, New Jersey, indicating a few more minutes before the bell rings and let the students out. A few more minutes...and Diana would be gone. She sat there quiet and pensive. No, she wasn't sad that they were moving, but she did admit to herself that she was going to miss this place. Her gaze lingered around her. Her best friend sat next to her. The guy she thought was cute sat on the other side of her. She wasn't going to see neither for a while or maybe never.
She took a deep breath...and the bell rang. The sound echoed through the room and the halls. Her ears kept ringing even after the bell went silent. Almost all the students were running out of the classroom door, all except Diana and Natalie. Diana looked up at Natalie from her seat and smiled. "So I guess this is it. You have my e-mail and I will call you when we land there." Nope...this isn't going to be a sad goodbye. "Come on, I'll walk with you outside...one last time," Diana said, grabbing her backpack and flinging it over her shoulder.
She could feel Natalie's gaze on her as she walked to the door, holding it open for her best friend to go through. Except her friend still stood by her desk. "Oh come on, Nat. It'll be okay. I promise. We'll always be friends. We'll talk to each other every day." Diana had no idea what else to say to her friend to keep this a good farewell, but eventually, she saw Natalie walk towards her and give her a smile.
Six hours later.
Diana exited the plane and followed her parents to find a taxi at the front of the airport. Everything felt different...but in a good way. Heck...this place might not be so bad...except for the weather.
