Character Name: Samantha James
Age: Born in 1939, but appears 19.
Gender: Female
Sexual Orientation: Straight
Species: Vampire
Coven/Pack/Nomad: Corder – Second in Command
Diet: Wild (feeds on humans)
Hair: Normally blonde but her hair color varies
Eyes: Red
Weight: 140 lbs
Height: 5’9”
Overall appearance: Samantha is pale, has sharp features and loves sporting red lips! She has a heart-shaped face, and red eyes. Her hair color varies but is wavy. She is 5’9” tall and looks to weigh about 140 lbs so she looks slim or slender (because of her height).
Personality Strengths:
• Stubborn/Determination: Samantha is very stubborn in the sense that she doesn’t give up and is very determined.
• Beauty & Charm/Charisma: Samantha can use her beauty and charm or charisma sometimes to get what she wants.
• Loyal: When it comes to loyalty, Samantha would be the first acceptable candidate. She is very loyal with who she trusts and with those she knows well (i.e. the Corders). But don’t do anything to break her trust, for she might just rethink her loyalty towards that individual.
Personality Weaknesses:
• Stubborn: Sometimes Samantha’s stubbornness can go too far to the point where she knows she’s wrong, but still argues that she’s right.
• Determination: Sometimes focuses too much on doing it "my way.
• Thinking: When Samantha is in a bad mood, she sometimes excludes feelings from decisions and normally does what she feels is right for her and the Corders.
Overall Personality: Samantha comes off as the strong and independent one, who doesn’t need to rely on anyone for anything. That’s not exactly the case. Samantha can be very stubborn at times. She doesn’t like to give up when the tough gets going. Actually, it makes her want to finish whatever it is that needs to be taken care of. But that can also cause a problem at times because it’s hard for her to change her mind once it’s set, for right or wrong reasons.
As the second in command of the Corders, Samantha is very loyal to her clan, her now “family”. She’s the type that can trust, but once that trust is broken, there is a slim chance of regaining her trust. Samantha does a lot of thinking. When it comes to a major decision needing to be made, she’ll forget about feelings of anyone as long as she knows it’s the right thing to do.
Character History: Samantha was born the eldest and only surviving child of Samuel and Agatha. They named her after a combination of their first names. The family was well-off during her earlier years, and they lived the good life. Her parents had struck rich through hard work and persistence. Sam was a very lucky girl. Her parents loved her and cared for her. When Sam was 10 years old, her parents was finally blessed with another child. It was a happy 7 months of anticipation. Sam would become an older sister. But it was not meant to be. Sam thinks that this was the first time their luck ran out. Thamiel, a son, was born premature and did not survive. The next that happened was that the family lost most of its money during a bank robbery. Then they discovered that one of their servants had secretly been pocketing money. Things became difficult.
But Samantha, being a stubborn girl, decided to face this adversity head on. She tried to do whatever she could to help her parents. Things passed in much the same fashion for the next 9 years.
At 19, Samantha was a full-fledged beauty. But for Sam, beauty was both a blessing and a curse. A blessing because for one thing, Sam was sure to get what she needed and wanted if she used her beauty and charm together. By this time her parents had succumbed to a deadly disease that there was no cure for. She was alone. But for another, it was what led to her turning into a vampire. For during this time, wild vampires still roamed the world by themselves. It was a solo flight for them. There was this vampire who appeared 21 years old, and was quite handsome. He had roamed the world for a century already, and could at least control his thirst, but that did not mean he would stop hunting humans as game.
He was rich, and he was charming. Samantha fell in love with him. But this feeling was not mutual. It turns out that Devlin, this vampire, only wanted to transform her for her to be his slave and sex partner in the afterlife. Sam would not surrender to such garish and inhumane fantasies. After the three day torture of pain and hurt, she killed her creator, and traversed the world.
In the future years she was recognized as a model and an amateur actress. People were still turned on by her beauty and smarts. Sam created a name for herself in the more modern world. She went to parties, enjoyed the glamour, met a lot of men whom she entertained but never more than just a casual acquaintance. It was an incomplete existence.
Until Sam met Chris. He was present in one of the parties she attended. He was charming and handsome. But most of all, he was a vampire, like her. He revealed his secret. Sam found another one like her, who fed on humans.
In the next years, she roamed with him and in time became the second in command of the Corder Coven.
Power: None.
Anything else about your charrie we need to know?: I’m adopting a character that’s been put up for adoption. Oh...she feeds on humans. That’s no surprise.
Roleplay Sample:
She hasn’t had a real meal for days now. Since Chris was murdered, her hunger vanished like a humans hunger did when they are depressed. The only difference is that a vampires doesn’t vanish, it is just harder for them to eat when all they did was think. At least, this was the case for Samantha James. Now-a-days, all she’s done is sit at her desk and think of who could have murdered her Chris. How it was done and why it was done. The Corders did not really have any enemies, unless if Chris had done something and never mentioned it to Sam. No, that wasn’t like the Chris she once knew. Chris would tell her everything because they always worked things out together. Two heads were better than one.
But one thing came to Sam’s mind at the moment. Blood. She was thirsty. Very. Thirsty. She knew exactly where to go to fetch her meal…a suitable one this time. All she’s had in the past 107 hours was a squirrel she had found in the forest when she had gone out for a walk. And wow! The smell and the taste could not even be compared to the precious red liquid humans pumped through their heart. Samantha stood slowly from her desk chair and slowly found the door that would lead her to the path where humans walked about.
She was very thirsty and that could cause a problem. All Sam could do now was focus on something other than what to feed on, for she didn’t want to snap and lose control and start suspicion around the state of Washington for a violent attack on an innocent human. No. She had to strategize.
Her pace was swift and quick. Somehow, she hadn’t even realized how quick she had been because she now hid behind some forest trees right across a public library. The sound of a car door drew her eyes in the direction of the parking lot. It was empty save for a man pulling on his rain coat and putting the alarm on his car. Then sound of a lottery just won went off in Sam’s mind. Him. He will be her meal. Her lips curled back at the thought of her sinking her teeth in his deliciously soft neck.
She closed her eyes, knowing she mustn’t act on impulse. He will ask about her eyes. She smiled. She knew exactly what she was going to do. Stepping forward, she ran into the parking lot. The knowledge of her knowing she was going to be satisfied soon kept her in check. She neared the man in the parking lot and said, ”Excuse me? Have you seen a white cat around here? My fiancée gave her to me as a gift and I don’t know how she got out of my sight,” she sniffed, acting like she had been crying and was about to burst into more sobs. ”If you could help me find her…maybe she went into the forest.” She turned away from him and walked in the direction of the forest. Even if he didn’t follow, she would convince him to help her. But at the sound of footsteps behind her, she knew the wait wouldn’t be long now.
